Happy Hour for Good Benefitting The Lantern Project

July 21, 2022 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm

$40

On the third Thursday of the summer months, our club puts on an evening on the dock in support of a cause. This is not a normal “happy hour,” but rather a fun-filled evening with food, adult beverages and live music, each month raising awareness and funds for a different benefitting nonprofit organization. This is a ticketed event, and you can register at www.happyhour4good.org. Once on the registration page, select the date of the event you wish to attend. You are warmly invited to attend all of them!

This month we’re supporting The Lantern Project (www.thelanternproject.org), specifically their Trafficking Prevention for Schools (TPfS) program, which is an innovative, dialogue-based upstream violence prevention program. High school-aged youth are guided through activities and conversations over four sessions that support and improve their ability to think critically about the ways inequitable systems impact issues such as racism, sexual abuse, and human trafficking.

Also this month we are celebrating 35 years of Women in Rotary, and will hear from our current Rotary District Governor, Kae Peterson. Live music is provided by jazz singer Jean Withers.
