On each third Thursday from July through September, Lake Union Rotary hosts a Happy Hour 4 Good at the Center for Wooden Boats. The evening takes place from 6-8 pm and includes live music, food, drink, a few words from our benefiting nonprofit organization, and a further opportunity to support their work.

Please join us on September 17th to support this month’s beneficiary: The Center for Wooden Boats! This month we’ll be meeting in the CWB’s Wagner Education Center up by the parking lot along Valley Street.

The Center for Wooden Boats is a hands-on maritime museum and living history center dedicated to preserving and teaching traditional small-craft boatbuilding and Pacific Northwest maritime heritage. Proceeds from this Happy Hour 4 Good will support materials for small boat builds in their boatshop. They have an ongoing project building El Toro sailboats, which are simple, youth friendly boats used for hands-on learning and on-the-water programming. Youth will have the opportunity to participate in the full process, from building to launching and sailing.

Our business sponsor for this event is Lake Union Dry Dock, located on Lake Union, which provides high-quality, cost-effective repairs and overhauls to a wide variety of maritime vessels.

Food will be provided by La Malquerida Mexican Gourmet and live music will be provided by Jazz Night School.
